Six Sentence Sunday "If There Never Is A Tomorrow"

Jim grabbed her the minute she got to the door and pinned her against the wall, all the while trying to shove his tongue down her throat.  “Jimmy, stop.” She pushed him off embarrassed by this sudden show of affection.
He seemed amused by that.  “Relax baby, no harm is showing you some love.”
He took her hand and started down the steps.
“Gee, thanks for the interdiction Jim.  Oh I forgot, I’m just your ride.” The guy that was with him said as they reached her apartment door.
“Oh, my bad brother.  Annabel, this is my buddy Nate.  Nate, this is my sexy girl, Annabel. Isn’t she sexy as hell?” Jim introduced them.
Nate looked as uncomfortable as Anne did.  “Yeah, she’s cute.”  He agreed and followed them into the apartment.

Six Sentence Sunday new WIP "If There Never Is A Tomorrow"

Instead of my six sentences, I wanted to share the opening paragraph from my new WIP, "If There Never Is A Tomorrow".  Let me know what you think...

A single tear escaped her eyes and just as quick, a soft breeze emerged through the trees.  Fall had truly come and with it, another thing to cross off the list.  Anne held her camera up as she sat on the bridge, the bike path beneath her, and made sure she could get the fall colors of the trees behind her.  Her auburn hair blew slightly and her hazel eyes held the sadness of the person she was missing deeply.  She knew she would never look at the picture; it would just stay on the memory card until she could finally look at them.  When the time was right, and she missed him the most, that was what he had said over and over.  He told her not to cry, hold on to memories, they could live there forever.  If that was true, then why couldn’t he…

Six Sentence Sunday "Autumn Wind" Cool Uncle Kevin

It's a little longer then six, but I had to put the whole thing in there so you get the just of it. Enjoy!

“Hey, love bug, got a deal for you.  I’ll try them with you.” Kevin said and got on the floor next to her.  He took her spoon and put a little of the orange goo and marshmallows on it for her.  Then he put the rest on his spoon and swallowed hard dreading the taste of them.  She watched him intently as he tried not to make any faces about what he was going to do for her.  “Okay on 3 we eat them.  Ready 1, 2, 3” He counted and then stuffed them in his mouth trying hard not to gag.
Missa made a face and looked at Mark.  “I tried them and I really don’t like them.  Do I have to eat anymore Uncle Mark?” She asked. Mark was trying not to laugh.
Nick laughed knowing how much Kevin hated sweet potatoes.   “No princess, you don’t have to.  Finish your dinner.”
Kevin went back to his seat and just as he was about to spit them out Nick tried to keep a straight face.  “She is still watching you and if you do what I think you’re going to do, she will never trust you again.”
Kevin swallowed hard and then grabbed his glass of wine and downed it.  Trying hard not to gag, he looked at his older brother and said, “And that dear brother is why I’m cool Uncle Kevin.  God I hate those things.”

Six Sentence Sunday "Autumn Wind"

While she sipped her wine, he stared at her letting his hand rub her cheek. “I missed you,” He spoke softly; glad he was finally home with her.
“How much longer will you have to do this?”
Nick took the glass from her and held her.  “I hope not for much longer.  But Chlo, this is going to be so great for us in the long run.  I’m learning so much from all of this.  If it keeps up baby, we are going to want for nothing.”
She took his hand and held it.  “But you are missing so much right now.  The past year we have only seen you for 1 week out of the month.  I understand, but Missa doesn’t.  She keeps asking for you at night and I don’t know what to say anymore.”
